Balancing the Inner Feminine
We have been noticing lately just how much the energies of the feminine have been making themselves known within us and within our customers, friends and colleagues. Possibly you have been noticing this within yourself too as you flow deeper into your inner journey of transformation. Being able to use our inner feminine and inner masculine energies as a balanced partnership is such an important aspect of being human, yet it is something that has been missing from our lived experience for so long now.
What are your Inner Feminine Energies?
We all have feminine energies regardless of whether we are currently in a feminine or masculine body. These inner male and female energies both need to be balanced and accepted as equal aspects of us, so that they can work together as a team. This partnership is fundamental to greater wholeness and our ability to live more fully as our true self.
Feminine qualities include creativity, intuition, inner wisdom, open heartedness, cooperation, sharing, healing and fluidity. It is our feminine nature that connects us with the Earth in meaningful ways and reminds us how to honour the natural world.
Many thousands of years ago these qualities were celebrated, and worship of the feminine goddess was a normal natural part of life on Earth.
Over the last five thousand years as we have moved through the period of lower frequency energy on Earth, often known as the Kali Yuga, the feminine ways of expressing life have been systematically and relentlessly persecuted until they have been largely suppressed and eradicated in favour of an unbalanced version of masculine energy.
Even in more recent history many of these feminine attributes have still been considered ‘lesser’ than those that stem from logic & scholarly knowledge. Now is the time for us to begin to honour the feminine within and without so that greater balance and equality can become the norm again.
Clearing the Old Legacy
Today the inner feminine within each of us is stirring and beginning to release herself from the grip of the old energies of suppression. We are all feeling this as an inner urge to express our creativity and intuition in more fluid, open-hearted ways, as well as creating a much deeper connection with Mother Earth. As we do this, we are also coming up against the legacy we have inherited as a result of the past suppression of these feminine qualities. There are still deep wounds around this issue that are deeply seeded into our human patterning and also the result of persecution that we have experienced in previous lifetimes.
Recognising a Wounded Feminine
A wounded feminine can sometimes make herself known in the shape of a difficult relationship with the birth mother or mother figures in general. Resistance to fully honouring feminine qualities such as intuition, nurturing and creativity within yourself or others, together with a sense of injustice, anger or perhaps fear around the way women have been treated in the past might also be good indicators of damage to your inner feminine energy.
It is not unusual for someone to have a deep urge to embrace one of the more feminine aspects of life, such as training to become a healer or to allow their psychic gifts more freedom of expression for instance, only to come up against a powerful and uncomfortable feeling of inner resistance. This will be your indication that you are exactly on the right path, and you have just come up against some internal wounding that needs your attention to move forward.
