The BFVEA Gathering 2026 – Friends, Flower Essences & More

Consciousness and Dr. Edward Bach

It was such a pleasure to be at this year’s British Flower & Vibrational Essence Association (BFVEA) Gathering. This year saw us back again at the Ammerdown centre in Somerset – a lovely venue set in its own beautiful grounds – and with a really interesting programme of speakers and events themed around Consciousness and Dr. Bach. This year carries a particular significance as 2026 marks 90 years since Edward Bach’s passing, and so the Gathering was both a celebration of his legacy and an invitation to listen to come together as practitioners, colleagues and friends and to learn and to grow together.

The Gathering is always a special weekend and a welcome chance to come together as a community and share ideas, experiences and our collective flower essence knowledge. Each BFVEA Gathering has its own unique focus, speakers and talks, but it is always a special occasion, and magic is created when the flower essence community comes together. Created in 1998 the BFVEA is a friendly and professional association for flower essence practitioners and anyone else who loves flower and vibrational essences.

Reflections

Coming back from a Gathering I often find that it takes time to integrate and reflect on all of the deep and nourishing conversations and fascinating talks and workshops that happen over the course of the weekend. Not to mention all of the different flower and vibrational essences that you end up trying! It always makes me feel deeply appreciative of the wonderful flower essence community that we’re all a part of.

My BFVEA Gathering Highlights…

The Gathering is always a wonderful chance to meet up with friends old and new and to meet people that you’ve not had the chance to meet before. And as ever the talks were inspiring and interesting.

Talks & Presentations

Jan Stewart giving her talk on Edward Bach's daughter Bobbie

Jan Stewart’s talk on Dr. Edward Bach’s daughter Bobby and her relationship with her father was fascinating and insightful, and central to the talk was a video interview with Bobby recorded by Gregory Vlamis. Bobbie grew up with only the vaguest early childhood memories of her father and knew little about him until she met Gregory. You can find out more and Bobbie here: Kitty & Bobbie: Edward Bach’s Family.

Thanks also to Martin Kutternik of Panosun who gave a fascinating talk on co-creative science. It was lovely meet up with Martin, who has been selling our flower, gem & crystal essences in Austria for more than 30 years! Thank too to all of the other speakers who gave their time, knowledge and wisdom so generously.

Trip to Chalice Well

We had a lovely trip to Chalice Well Gardens, with time spent in the red and white springs and amongst the beautiful flowers and trees in the gardens. A special thanks to Casey and all at Chalice Well gardens for inviting us and for such a lovely welcome.

Dr Bach Quiz

And the quiz night BFVEA style – with a Dr Edward Bach theme – was a lot of fun! The questions, put together by Jan were all focussed on the life of Edward Bach and on the 38 Bach Flower Remedies themselves. Many of the questions were inspired by Jan’s new book series ‘The Secret Life of Edward Bach’.

A Big Thanks to BFVEA

A big and heartfelt thanks to Jan Stewart, Flor Taboada and Naoko Edwards who organised this years Gathering and for putting together a very special weekend of events and for all of the time that they’ve put into making it all happen.

If you’ve not been to a BFVEA Annual Gathering before, the weekend offers presentations, talks, learning and community and is open to anyone interested in Bach Flower remedies and flower and vibrational essences! So if this sounds interesting to you, why not book for the next Gathering in 2027!
