Masculine Balance, Leadership & Intuition –<\/strong> our Essence Review for this month is for the Sunflower Essence. Sunflower opens the heart chakra and balances the inner yin & yang energies. It helps out of balance male energies<\/a> and transforms feelings of anger or hostility related to the father figure. Sunflower is also a helpful essence to stimulate the flow of higher wisdom and increase intuition. The beautiful common Sunflower ( Helianthus annuus<\/em> ) derives from the Greek; Helios ‘sun’ and anthos ‘flower’. Sunflowers grow from tiny seeds into tall plants of around 3 metres, with spine like stems and large flowers the size of dinner plates. They originated from the Arizona and New Mexico areas and have been used for thousands of years as a food and oil. We first made a flower essence from a Sunflower in the early 1990’s and since then we have found it an incredibly useful essence whether used singly or in combinations of other vibrational essences<\/a>.<\/p>\r\n

As a flower essence Sunflower is particularly valuable because of its ability to help transform out of balance male energies, in both men and women. Out of balance male energy is currently very obvious in the world around us, which is a clear sign that transformation is in process and that it would be good if we looked within to see whether we have any personal re-balancing to do.<\/p>\r\n

Sunflower is one of my favourite essences for working with any aspects of out of balance male energy. The radiant energy of sunflower is all about empowerment from the heart, helping you to feel more confident, assured and self-empowered. It does this by helping you to balance your inner male aspect, helping to harmonise old unbalanced male energy patterns such as control, anger or hostility around the father figure or authority figures more generally. As these old patterns transform it allows you to step more solidly and firmly into your own empowered state and more confidently into your heart. It’s just such an important and relevant essence right now, with so many out of balance male energy patterns playing out in the world, causing many of the problems that we are seeing at the moment. How to Use the Sunflower Essence<\/h2>\r\n

In our experience Sunflower works extremely well taken as a single essence on its own. An effective dose for most adults is four drops on the tongue 4 x a day, straight from the stock bottle. For best results take consistently for a period of two to four weeks.<\/p>\r\n

It is also very effective mixed into a stock combination with other deep acting Flower, Gem or Crystal essences if you want to focus on an issue in more depth.<\/p>\r\n
